Description: Role Summary/Purpose: The Offshore Safety and Compliance Coordinator (m/f) will support the Offshore Model Manager and System Integration Leaders by being responsible for Safety and Compliance activities of the offshore Wind Turbine Platform. He/she will be overall responsible for planning and coordination with the EHS team for Offshore Environmental, Health or Safety (EHS) activities and issues as well as with the Compliance and Certification teams for compliance activities and issues.
Responsibilities: Essential Responsibilities He/she will also be responsible for planning and coordination of Compliance activities towards relevant product standards and regulations such as IEC-61400, CE-marking and the Machine directive. He/she will supervise implementation of actions that ensure observance of requirements of legislation, company EHS policies and procedures and to monitor and coordinate corrective actions identified on tracking registers.He/She will manage and coordinate the baseline safety assessment and improvement plans, compliance plans, certification plans with internal as well as external contacts regarding the offshore product along the lifecycle from design thru commissioning and service of the unit.Responsibilities include : * Planning and coordination of Compliance activities towards relevant product standards and regulations such as IEC-61400, CE-marking and the Machine directive. * Supervise implementation of actions that ensure observance of requirements of legislation, company EHS policies and procedures and to monitor and coordinate corrective actions identified on tracking registers. * Manage and coordinate the baseline safety assessment and improvement plans, compliance plans, certification plans with internal as well as external contacts regarding the offshore product along the lifecycle from design thru commissioning and service of the unit. * Management and monitoring of the Offshore EHS and Compliance programs. * Lead cross-functional teams of Engineering, EHS and Compliance to perform safety and compliance activities. * Optimize the design with Lessons Learned from a Safety and Compliance perspective. * Routinely and concisely communicate program progress to Sr. Leadership, and Commercial Operations. * Act as global focal point and Owner of Offshore Safety and Compliance issues. * Participate in preparation of EHS long-term and routine plans; control observance of EHS requirements on the product. * Control observance and review of EHS standards according to effective local, international (regional) and industrial standards. * Control correct operation of treatment and protective appliances. * Perform all work in accordance with applicable OHSA 18001, IEC-61400 standard and other product related regulations such as CE-marking. * Participate in investigation of accidents related to the product and development of preventive and corrective actions. * To control elimination of deficiencies found by regulatory and inspection bodies and take actions to improve.This position will require some domestic and international travel.
Requirements: Qualifications/Requirements * Master or equivalent in Engineering or Business Engineering, * Minimum 5+ years engineering experience * Minimum 3+ years experiences from Safety and/or Compliance * Experience from work in offshore environments * Excellent technical skills and operation knowledge * Superior oral, written and presentation skills, interpersonal and persuasion skills * Experience in leading cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary teams of all levels * Metric focused and excellent communication capability Desired Characteristics * Wind technology experience * GB certified (GE Internal only) You MUST submit your application for employment through gecareers.com to be considered.
