Description: Role Summary/Purpose: The Wind Technician III - Field Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, and large component replacement / repair of wind turbine generators. Responsibilities: Essential Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot complicated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch, variable speed turbines
* Help in all areas of site preparation (coordination of labor and materials), with minimal supervision
* Document all work performed using computer based service reporting procedures
* Communicate site status to engineering, customers, and management
Requirements: Qualifications/Requirements
* At least 1 year of wind turbine experience
* At least 1 year of experience as a Wind Technician II
* At least 1 year of experience with cranes and rigging
* Bachelors technical electrical / electronic degree AND 1+ years of work experience in electrical / electronic repair industry OR Associates technical electrical / electronic degree AND 4+ years of work experience in electrical / electronic repair industry OR at least 6 years of work experience in electrical / electronic repair industry
