Description:
This is a field based position that will support multiple regional wind farm sites and a supply distribution center. The EHS Specialist will have a strong background and experience in a Power Plant environment, preferably Wind Power; they will support wind farm site and distribution center compliance to all safety and environmental regulations through development and delivery of safety initiatives; they will be accountable for adherence to all procedures according to the safety program for the sites; they will act as the lead contact for all workers compensation related injuries; instruct on adherence to codes and regulations, participate in developing/revising environmental procedures, provide coaching/instruction to plant employees on updated safety and employee health issues, act as subject matter expert in Environmental, Health and Safety matters.

Requirements:
Assist in conducting safety meetings within assigned region including weekly/monthly topics and safety stand-downs; Conduct accident/injury investigations to determine root cause(s) and corrective action plans; Conduct field inspections specifically checking that all Siemens policies are being followed to include; LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Lifting Procedures, PPE, etc.; Provide additional safety coverage for all special projects within region to include; rope access, tower weld, blade inspection/repair, single blade replacements, etc; Participate in AWP Safety Committee; Assist with the random drug/alcohol policy program per Siemens policy; Be able to work independently, submit daily reports, respond to emergency situations, and use utmost discretion in matters of Siemens safety policies/procedures not being adhered too; Actively work in a software program (KRIMA) managing task assignments / recommendations for improvements in all categories; Additional duties as assigned by the EHS Manager.
