Description:
The site supervisor is responsible for all aspects of wind farm operations, including personnel safety, planning daily work activities, creating on-call schedules, scheduling maintenances, contractual wind farm availability, approving time, approving expense reports, training and safety of all wind farm technicians and communicating with the customer. In addition, the site supervisor is responsible for establishing site and individual goals, adhering to the site budget, personnel counseling, including disciplinary actions, annual reviews and act as role model in field environment to ensure all procedures are followed as required.

The position follows a typical work week, but, in addition, it is expected the site supervisor will be available to the customer or the site technicians at anytime. Depending on site activities, the work week is often longer than 40 hours. In summary, the ideal candidate will have management experience, a mechanical and/or electrical background, and experience working alongside the customer.

Responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.

• Manage the technicians and inventory control personnel on site

• Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.

• Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.

• Investigate accidents and injuries, and prepare reports of findings.

• Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.

• Compile operational and personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics, and test results.

• Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.

• Communicate daily activities to the customer and Clipper personnel

• Conduct themselves in a professional manner

• Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.

• Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Requirements:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in tactical planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, specification, and work instructions.

• Communicates information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

• Computer expertise in MS Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Project and Access a plus; web-savvy.

VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience using SAP or another ERP software

• Experience with using LOTO procedures

• Tower Rescue certified.

• MLS II qualified.

• Avanti lift operator certified.

• First Responder qualified.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to:

• Ability to drive work vehicles in challenging conditions (i.e. snow and ice).

• Climb 300' WTG up to 4 times per day using the service ladder.

• Moderate to High noise Levels Industrial Environment (Example Engines and Heavy equipment, Electric Motors and Gear drives Radios, Etc.

• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Spend long durations standing or crouching.

• Work in temperature extremes

• Must be willing to work on an on call basis (i.e. outside of normal business hours) and be available to the customer.
